Clarify scope and ownership
Responsibility for sourcing, testing, packaging, label review, sample approval and release should be written down. Unclear ownership tends to become delay later.
Ask about traceability and change control
Understand how batch records, raw-material lots, in-process controls and nonconformities are tracked. Also review how formula, supplier and process changes are communicated and approved.
Evaluate communication quality
Clear technical answers, decision records and regular status updates matter as much as physical production. Good communication does not hide problems; it makes them visible early.
